Q. My panel has a 10k rating with a 22k Feeder Circuit Breaker.Is it my responsibility to coorindate with the site to ensure the feeder is at least 22k upon installation.

A. SCCR rating of the panel is not based only on the interrupting rating of the main feeder overcurrent protective device. It is more involved than this. Supplement SB contains the requirements for determing the SCCR rating of a panel. It is both the responsibility of the panel builder and purchaser to ensure that the SCCR rating of the panel is adequate for the installation conditions.
